EXPLORE & DISCOVER
Whisky Finder shows you the closest distillery, retailer or bar to where you are.
It promotes whisky tourism, showcases lesser-known brands and helps fans of whisky to explore and discover like never before.
Find out the closest distillery to you, how to contact them, if they’re open.
For those distilleries not open to the public – increase your brand awareness and let fans get that all-important selfie at your gates.
Find those specialists and independent retailers who know what whisky means to the drinker and collector.
Qualifying retailers would have 50+ whiskies.
For those people who want to discover more, one glass at a time. Pubs, bars and restaurants who know their whisky and offer a good range.
Qualifying bars would have 20+ whiskies.
Not everyone makes good, solid plans.
“Which is the closest distillery to visit?” is a question asked whether in Speyside or Suffolk.
Locations are listed, closest first. As you can see – because I’m doing this from Yorkshire, the app is showing me Spirit of Yorkshire, Forest and White Peak.
All listings will display the distillery name and the distance from your location.
Premium listings will display the distillery logo.
The user can scroll through and browse all distilleries, or use the search functionality to find a specific distillery.
Other page functionality is to switch view to a map, or to filter the list to a smaller geographical area.
Don’t like lists?
That’s fine – just toggle to the map and it will show you where you are, and the nearest distilleries to your location.
The app uses geolocation of your device and plots it on a map.
Each distillery (located accurately via longitude and latitude settings) can be clearly seen by the red pin.
Using two fingers, the user can scroll around the country, including islands, to see where distilleries are.
Clicking on a pin reveals the name – and click on this takes you to the distillery profile.
